4 Months In Australia And The Journey So Far

It’s been a while since I updated my blog I know. Truth is though, I’ve been thinking too much about what to write and haven’t really come up with too many ideas. Reason being that this blog is all about my journey to location independence so writing about how Australia has been so far is going a bit off topic. Perhaps I should have made this a travel blog! Unfortunately I haven’t done zip about my mission to location independence and I’m disappointed in myself, since that was one of the reasons of coming to Australia in the first place. The job I managed to secure upon arrival is a demanding one and it requires patience and focus 24 hours a day and 7 days per week. The Australian Adventure

I know it’s been a while since I last posted. There’s a lot to organise when you move to another country and have to start again, and it’s especially hard when you don’t have your family with you. In my case, my wife and kids. I’ve been living in a nice little suburb called Forest Lake in the South Brisbane area since November. I work up in Toowoomba, which is a 113km journey West of Brisbane in the Darling Downs area. I work 7 days on and 7 days off. So it works in well because I have time to sort things out and explore the region a bit. Some Lessons Learned In 2011

Well it’s been a while since I’ve written a post here and unfortunately I have done absolutely nothing towards being location independent. I’ve been too busy doing new things and meeting new people which has been fun. All my internet business has been done using my iphone 4s which is fantastic! However it’s pretty hard to write a decent post using this phone. Alas I find myself at a mall banging this out. Well all I can say is that a lot has happened this year and most of it I’m happy to say has been positive. I’m afraid to say though, that over the past two months I’ve done very little online which is annoying. 2011 was a year of change and of growth. I have taken more risks and achieved more of my goals. The Plan Going Forward

Well I thought I’d better layout my plan of attack. Looking around at other blogs that are doing a similar thing to me (blogging about their journey and the things they learn along the way), many of them have gone on to interesting and amazing things. They’re now earning a fulltime income online and have become location independent. They’ve accomplished this several ways. Well it’s taken me a few days to come to the table and write this post because I have so many ideas running around in my head it’s hard to knuckle down and focus on one thing to write about here, but I think I’ve nailed it down. In my humble opinion there are several sites out there in the ‘Internet Marketing’ niche or ‘Make Money Online’ niche that are doing or have done case studies where they have built up from scratch, showing each step from start to finish, a niche site. How My Luck Changed At Work One Day When I Met Two Of My Online Heroes In Real Life

In early 2011 I was on Facebook following some of my Internet Marketing mentors, in order to connect and learn from them. I had recently found out that one of my mentors actually lived not far away from me; in fact, he lived only an hour away and this was unusual because I didn’t know of many Internet Marketers that were from New Zealand apart from Mark Ling. Obstacles Faced By Newbie Internet Marketers And How To Smash Through Them

Since I got started on my internet marketing journey I have come up against various obstacles and challenges. Listed below are a few of these: What method is best to use when first starting out? My Goals For The Next Couple Of Years Online

Well I don’t think I have ever fleshed out exactly where I stand as far as Internet Marketing goes with regards to my goals and what I hope to achieve online, so I will do my best here from the very beginning. Where I Began My Online Journey…

When I first heard about and became interested in internet marketing I sought out the main players in the game and joined their lists (as you do) to learn from them. Whilst searching high and low for the magic bullet I became overwhelmed with information overload which then led to inaction and procrastination. Unfortunately studying for too long leads to confusion, at least it can do, and did for me.
